It is time to go on the offense!

Restoring Christian civil rights is the civil rights struggle of our time. Cultural Marxists, church-state separatists, “progressive” anti-Christian religious segregationists and “LGBT” sexual anarchists now openly attack our liberty. Who watches them?

Christian Civil Rights Watch is a group of Christian legal watchmen who educatecommunicateand, where necessary, litigate. We proactively fight to restore justice for faithful Bible believers’ Constitutionally protected civil rights. We fulfill the mandate of God’s word to leave a legacy of religious free exercise for current and future generations of Christ followers.

“Gay pride” necessitates anti-Christian hate. It must. “Gay marriage” and other “sexual orientation”-based laws do violence to freedom and truth. They are the hammer with which the postmodern left intends to bludgeon bloody religious liberty and the Judeo-Christian sexual ethic. The liberal viewpoint is that any viewpoint, save the liberal viewpoint, must be criminalized and prosecuted.

According to the unequivocal moral precepts of the Judeo-Christian tradition – explicit throughout both the Old and New Testaments – homosexual behavior is sin. Sin is evil. Homosexual behavior is the central, defining characteristic of so-called “gay marriage.” Therefore, “gay marriage” is evil. Christians are obligated to avoid sin – to “do no evil.”

It’s not popular to speak such simple truths in today’s politically correct world. But at CCRW, we’re not out to win a popularity contest.

To homosexuals we say this: Yes, you are equal in God’s eyes. You are loved. These things are true, not because of your homosexual lifestyle, but, rather, they are true in spite of it.

Most homosexuals know intuitively, we believe, that their lifestyle is unnatural and immoral and that the oxymoronic notion of “same-sex marriage” is a puerile farce. Thus, they must force others to affirm both their self-destructive lifestyle and their mock “marriages” under penalty of law. They must physically compel everyone to engage their “emperor’s new clothes” delusion, so they can feel better about bad behavior.

Well, to our “gay”-identified friends and “LGBT” pressure groups, we say this: Making everyone else “call evil good and good evil” won’t fill that dark void in your soul. Only repentance and redemption through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can do that.

When we give deviant sexual conduct preferred status in law, Christian morality becomes illegal. If you think government-recognized “gay marriage” is harmless to society, you’re sorely mistaken. It places the Christian sexual ethic and free exercise of religion in direct conflict with law. It’s our sense that many liberty-minded people are finally coming awake to this disturbing reality.

Again, and although we all sin, Christians are commanded to neither support nor engage in evil. Hence, Christians – true Christians – cannot engage in nor condone the unrepentant practice of homosexual behavior. Neither can we support sin-centric “gay marriage,” or the wanton destruction of innocent human life.

This rudimentary equation is built upon the natural laws of moral physics. Christianity is magnetically charged truth. Homosexual behavior and the “choice” to commit abortion homicide are a magnetically charged lie – spiritual and biological falsehoods. Christianity, homosexual sin and abortion are as north to south. Polar opposites cannot occupy the same position in time and space. They repel one another. It’s physically, spiritually and legally impossible for religious freedom and preferred legal status for sexual sin and abortion homicide to coexist in harmony. This is timeless reality.

Why are so many Christians afraid to call sin sin? It’s time for lukewarm believers to warm up to the reality of the growing tyranny we all face. Truth, in love, is the balance. Yes, the world will hate you, because it first hated Christ. So what? Count it a blessing – even unto death.

Here’s our recommendation: When those who are lost to the world hate on you, laugh at them. Then cry for them. Then pray for them. Follow Christ’s example and ask, as did He, that God “forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Then get up, dust yourself off and get back in the fight.

Albert Einstein once said,

“Never do anything against conscience even if the state demands it.”

He was right.

Though there are many, it is plain for all to see that abortion and “sexual liberation” remain the two principal theaters in the ongoing culture war battlefront.

To fully advance the causes of radical feminism, abortion-on-demand, unfettered sexual license, “gay marriage” and the like, the pagan left must do away with religious free exercise and Christian civil rights altogether. Under the guise of “anti-discrimination,” Christians today face discrimination at unprecedented levels.

CCRW intends to reverse that growing trend.

Let’s see if we can make this abundantly clear. Christians, true Christians – regenerate, Bible-believing Christians who strive their level best to maintain fidelity to the word of God and honor His commands – will not, indeed cannot, participate in, approve of, facilitate or encourage certain behaviors deemed by the Holy Scriptures to be immoral or sinful.

This is both our constitutionally affirmed human right and our Christian duty.

It is not done from hate. It is not done from bigotry. It is done neither from a position of superiority nor a desire to “impose our beliefs” upon others.

It is done from both obedience to Christ and compassion for our fellow fallen who yet wallow in folly.

It is not so much that Christians wish, willy-nilly, to call abortion, homosexual behavior, fornication, adultery, bestiality, incest or any other disordered sexual proclivity “sinful.” It is, rather, that we must. For the true Christian, God’s objective truths will always trump man’s subjective desires.

Newton’s Third Law states: “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

For every law, regulation, activist court ruling or presidential edict that demands Christians violate their sincerely held religious beliefs and adopt a postmodern, moral relativist way of life, there increases, in exact proportion, the likelihood of widespread civil disobedience – disobedience of the sort we haven’t seen since the civil rights struggles of the 1950s and ’60s.

Indeed, if, in the spirit of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., we, his fellow Christian travelers, must again face the water hoses, then face them we shall.

As the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision reaffirmed, the government cannot legislate away religious free exercise. Where your desire, intense though it may be, for us to employ you despite your antagonistic values system, pay for your abortion, or host, photograph or otherwise bake a rainbow cake for your faux “wedding,” comes into conflict with our absolute Christian civil right to religious liberty, the result is a foregone conclusion.

We win, you lose.

We have seen and will continue to see an exponential increase in Christian business owners refusing to violate God’s commands by complying with unconstitutional, immoral and unjust government dictates. CCRW aims to protect and proactively fight for these bold believers’ Christian civil rights.

For 2,000 years, whenever such conflicts have arisen, Christians have placed the laws of God above the laws of man.

At CCRW we ask our secular friends this: “What makes you think we’re about to change now?”

If you are a Christian in today’s America, you will almost certainly find yourself with a tough decision to make. There’s no more fence-sitting. Our declining culture won’t allow it. When man’s law violates God’s law, you will have to choose which to obey. Choosing God can mean persecution.

We’ve made our choice.

How will you choose?

If you choose to obey God, CCRW is here to fight for your unalienable civil right to do so.

The U.S. Founding Fathers observed in the Declaration of Independence that Natural Law – God’s physical and moral laws – transcend man-made law, culture and politics. The Judeo-Christian worldview, the biblical worldview – as the vast majority of the Founders recognized – represents total truth. Where man-made law is at odds with natural law, which the Founders called, “the laws of nature and nature’s God,” they understood that such man-made law is no law at all. They declared that we, “are endowed by (our) Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Christian civil rights are unalienable human rights. The Founders codified this uniquely American truth in the First and Fourteenth Amendments to U.S. Constitution.

John Adams, our second president, signer of the Declaration and one of two signers of the Bill of Rights observed:

The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.

Without [the Christian] religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company: I mean hell.

The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity and humanity.

Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law book and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . . What a Eutopia – what a Paradise would this region be!

I have examined all religions, and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world.

John Quincy Adams, our sixth president noted:

My hopes of a future life are all founded upon the Gospel of Christ and I cannot cavil or quibble away [evade or object to]. . . . the whole tenor of His conduct by which He sometimes positively asserted and at others countenances [permits] His disciples in asserting that He was God.

The hope of a Christian is inseparable from his faith. Whoever believes in the Divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures must hope that the religion of Jesus shall prevail throughout the earth. Never since the foundation of the world have the prospects of mankind been more encouraging to that hope than they appear to be at the present time. And may the associated distribution of the Bible proceed and prosper till the Lord shall have made “bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God” [Isaiah 52:10].

In the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior. The Declaration of Independence laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity.

And in his Farewell Address, George Washington, our first president acknowledged:

…Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labour to subvert these great Pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and citizens.
